On the Isthmus of Kra, lies the ‘Gateway to the South’. Chumphon. With a 222-kilometre-long (138 mi) coastline and 44 islands, the Chumphon Archipelago, Chumphon has waterfalls, peaceful beaches, green forests, mangroves, and rivers.[
Krabi is the main town in the province of Krabi on the west coast of southern Thailand at the mouth of the Krabi River where it empties in Phang Nga Bay. For this trip, my base was the area of the old town.
